“It’s Showtime” host and Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda didn’t hold back as he shared his thoughts on irresponsible parenting in the latest episode of his vlog aired Saturday, July 26.
The episode featured Shuvee Etrata, a former Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition housemate and current Kapuso Sparkle talent. Shuvee opened up about her childhood trauma and frustration growing up as one of nine siblings in a struggling household.
“'Yun ‘yung naging hatred ko. Bakit ba ginawa kaming siyam? Hindi naman nila kaya. Lima pa lang kami noon, hirap na kami. Pero nag-anak pa rin sila,” she recalled emotionally.

Although Shuvee has since found it in her heart to forgive her parents, she admitted that her experience in the PBB house allowed her to speak up — something that made her parents feel embarrassed, she noted.
Reacting to her story, Vice Ganda said:
“Dapat talaga mahiya ‘yong mga magulang. Kasi ‘di ba laging ang mga anak ang dapat mahiya? Pero paano ‘yong mga magulang? Lalo na kung bata ka pa at nakadepende ka sa kanila, sila ang may pananagutan sa uri ng buhay mo."
“Kung lumaki kang mahirap, kasalanan ng magulang mo ‘yon. Dapat marunong din silang mahiya,” Vice added firmly.
The vlog also touched on Shuvee’s close friendship with fellow PBB housemate Ashley Ortega. She shared a touching story about being invited by Ashley to dine at a steakhouse in Rockwell. With only ₱4,000 left in her wallet — which she was supposed to use for bills — she went anyway just to enjoy Ashley’s company.
“Akala ko magkaniya-kaniya kami ng bayad. Hindi niya alam na last money ko na ‘yon,” she said. “Pero gusto ko lang makipag-dinner sa kaniya. Kinilig ako kasi inaya niya ako.”
Their friendship reportedly began when they starred in GMA’s ice-skating drama series “Hearts on Ice” in 2023. Shuvee admitted that even before they became friends, she already admired Ashley from afar.
