Veteran and multi-awarded actor John Arcilla took to Facebook on Sunday, July 27, to express his thoughts after witnessing what he described as rude behavior in a viral video during a presentation.

In his post, Arcilla emphasized that being “totoong tao” (a real person) doesn’t mean acting without filters or manners.

He admitted that everyone makes mistakes at times:

“Minsan sumasablay tayo diyan.

John clarified that self-control and diplomacy are not forms of hypocrisy, but rather signs of maturity and humanity.

The actor’s post earned praise from netizens, many of whom agreed that being authentic doesn't have to come at the expense of respect and decency. His message served as a reminder to social media users and public personalities alike: being real must also come with responsibility.
