Teotico, who was arrested in 2014 for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act (RA 9165), shared that the case has already been dismissed and he has been free since 2021. Admitting that he used cannabis to help manage his ADHD, Jommy claimed his arrest was the result of a set-up orchestrated by his former partner Jamilla Obispo’s mother.
“Napatunayan na set-up siya. Bigla na lang pumasok yung mga police. Wala ngang media nun. Yung media hinabol na lang sa presinto,” he shared, recalling how police officers suddenly barged into his home.

For Jommy, his time in prison was both a blessing and a curse. While he faced many challenges inside, it also gave him the opportunity to reflect deeply on his life and purpose.
While incarcerated, Jommy maximized his time by writing his own book titled “Mind of an Altruist,” which is now available in bookstores and online.
Despite what happened, Jommy said he holds no grudges against his child’s grandmother, choosing to see his imprisonment as a path towards finding himself.
Yun nalang yung nakita ko–– blessing and a curse. Mas nabuo ako, mas nakilala ko sarili ko.”
